Crescent Beach is located on Anastasia Island in St Johns County just three miles south of St. Augustine Beach on Highway A1A. Crescent Beach was named because the shoreline has a natural crescent moon shape. This stretch of beach is one of the most scenic and unspoiled in the St Johns area, great for beachcombers and ecotourists. Some of the activities available include boating, diving, and fishing, as well as RV and camping facilities, a family-friendly and pet-friendly beach.
St. Augustine Beach
St. Augustine Beach is located in the heart of Anastasia Island. There are several facilities nearby that offer many activities and events, including the St. Johns County Pier, pavilion, playground, fishing pier, volleyball courts, bait shops, fine restaurants, and much more. Including great RV and camping areas.
Anastasia State Park & Recreation Center
Anastasia State Park is a protected bird sanctuary consisting of 1,700 acres of and five miles of sandy beaches, a gem of an area for wildlife enthusiasts. Located on Anastasia Island, the area offers many services and activities including swimming, hiking, nature trails, a boat ramp, fishing, and camping, as well as lifeguards on duty.
Vilano Beach is within short distance of historic downtown St. Augustine offering a large variety of activities for all interests and magnificent vacation rentals, waterfront restaurants, parasailing, Vilano Beach Fishing Pier, Sea Doo rentals, onsite picnic shelters and outside showers available. I you are planning a day out on the ocean, Vilano Beach also offers deep sea fishing and sailboat charters.
Usina Beach is located north of Vilano Beach, this beach area offers a quiet Oceanside visit and two great campsites. Usina Beach features several boat ramps and seafood restaurants.
South Ponte Vedra Beach
South Ponte Vedra Beach is located in northern St. Johns County just south of Ponte Vedra area. The area is home of the PGA Tour, the Players Championship every spring, and the Association of Tennis Professionals Tour. Beach access is limited, you will find many resorts, parks, and upscale shopping venues.
Guana River State Park
Guana River State Park is Located 20 minutes north of St. Augustine. Guana River State Park is a 2,000 acre sanctuary home for endangered species and a nature enthusiast’s dream. This location offers two public beach access areas offer dune crossover boardwalks onto 4.2 mile stretch of undeveloped beachside. Some of the activities include swimming, surfing, sunbathing, fishing, and shell-hunting. No camping is allowed or picnic areas. Pets are allowed on the beach and throughout other areas of the park if kept on a handheld leash no longer than six feet.
